If you’re familiar with the Coolidge Corner luxury rental market, you’re likely familiar with 1443 Beacon St.

What you may NOT be familiar with is it’s latest renovations and it’s current condition. Which is why we’re here for you and why you read these, amirite?

1443 Beacon was bought in 2015 by a large management company with deep roots in the Brookline area. They have spent the better part of the past 2 years going through the building doing some major improvements inside and out which is why we thought it was a good idea to re-acclimate our customers with the building. Oh, and it’s literally one block away from our office.

The brick 8-story building holds various floor plans amidst 115 units. There’s a two level garage alongside a loading dock to the side front. The entry way welcomes your visitors with a video intercom system to greet them and allow access. There is also a concierge desk inside flanked by a waiting area and the management office. The new lobby is slick, complete with glass walls and modern finishes.

Adjacent to the lobby is the newly redesigned and fully renovated club room. It features multiple seating options, nice fireplaced area and a full kitchen. Tenants and management will hold events and private functions here at times but it’s mostly a great spot for tenants to relax. On the far side of the room is an exterior door to a small deck with a stairway down to the rear sundeck and the incredible pool area. The pool is a great sized and actually deeper than 3.5’ – one of the few features we’ll accentuate and explain why later. The patio also holds a few gas grills and loungers. This space offers 1443’s tenants something that few buildings in the Brookline area can- a rare treat in the neighborhood.

The renovated units stand up to most other “new construction” luxury buildings in the marketplace.

Units offer two different styles- traditional style with maple cabinets and dark granite or modern styling with dark cabinets and white quartz countertops. All kitchens are large with oversized islands with seating and undermounted sinks and, as you would expect, stainless steel appliances. Bedroom size is ample and can accommodate a king-sized bed and the bathroom is large and offers TONS of storage- something definitely worth noticing.

Laundry is offered in unit in select floor plans, but not all. If not, there are laundry facilities on each floor so it’s still very accessible. There’s a fitness room on the first floor as well.

If you’re someone who likes to tour the luxury product on the market, you should see 1443 Beacon as we think you’ll appreciate it. This property, because it was built in another time and since renovated to today’s standards, still offer some timeless, sturdy features and other details that are tough to find in today’s new construction. Things like original oak flooring instead of engineered flooring, balconies, large layouts, copious in-unit storage- these are all things that are typically now overlooked to provide for more units.

It’s refreshing to get into a unit and feel like you can actually stretch your arms without stretching your budget.

1443 Beacon is located, you guessed it, at 1443 Beacon St. on the west end of Coolidge Corner, Brookline. The MBTA green line stops within one block from the entrance to the building and access to the city or points west is quick and easy given any real mode of transportation.

Prices are on the high end of the Brookline luxury market but this building is really the pinnacle of that marketplace in Brookline. You can expect to see one beds right at $3k/mo. while two bedrooms start at $4400 and will typically run you closer to $4700/mo. The building does offer a few XL 3bd layouts which range between $5700-$6200/mo. Garage parking is available a la carte for $300/mo. Sound like a but much to you? What if we told you that HEAT, HOT WATER and CENTRAL A/C is included in your rent? There’s some real savings that you’ll realize as a tenant. The building does have a no pet policy so if you have a furry friend, you’ll have to move on.
