Pride Month is HERE!
Kingston REM celebrates Pride all year long, but the month of June provides a special reason for us to rejoice even more.
As the month progresses, many Pride celebrations and events are taking place in Boston and beyond. In honor of Pride month, Kingston REM encourages ALL its supporters to participate in Pride events.

Despite the many Pride celebrations in June, it is imperative to remember the long journey and milestones it took to get to this point. As allies, it is crucial that we continually defend LGBTQ+ communities, ensuring that they are supported, accepted, and treated equally.
While we want to celebrate during Pride Month, we also want to support and let the public know that #kingstoncares. To contribute, Kingston REM is donating to BAGLY (The Boston Alliance of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer Youth).
Members of the LGBTQ+ community face many obstacles. With growing up come fears of acceptance, bullying & harassment, and a whole host of other hardships. Young LGBTQ+ people should grow up excited about life and encouraged to be themselves without ever suppressing who they are.
BAGLY is an outlet for LGBTQ+ youth, offering resources, online programs, free in-person programs, and much more. It is a youth-led social support organization devoted to social justice and developing, sustaining, and advocating for programs and policies that benefit LGBTQ+ youth.
