We’ve been waiting to feature Praise Shadow’s on our Kingston Local for quite some time. Matter of fact, we had something queued up last year but, well, life, the pandemic and a zillion other things got in the way! Nevertheless, we persevere and are so excited to chat with you about this incredible art gallery in Brookline’s Coolidge Corner!
Praise Shadows is located right on Harvard St. near the intersection of Babcock St. It’s clean, quaint and wonderful showcasing a rotating gallery with a particular focus on emerging or mid-career artists. They also have a retail space for art books and various artist’s materials. To put it simply, it’s a great destination and worthy of a special trip to the area. It’s also a great way to break up the monotony of shopping and//or eating in Coolidge Corner.
Their current exhibition, “I’ll believe in anything for a while” by Katherine Mitchell DiRico who created a multi-media installation, incorporating objects, photographs, video, sounds and accentuating with light. This exhibition runs from February 11, 2022 – March 13, 2022.
Praise Shadows also offers an art partnerships and a art mentorship program- the latter of which starts in March 2022. Contact them for more information and get yourself signed up!
